Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)

Detect both recent or past exposure to herpes. Ideal for:
Individuals concerned with having a first time outbreak, and have not been recently screened.
Individuals that found out a past or current partner has herpes (with or without symptoms).
Prescreening women who are pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant.
Individuals or partners wanting to investigate possible time of infection, new or old.
Herpes Simplex Virus Transmission: Usually passed through skin-to-skin contact with a herpes outbreak or lesion. It is possible to pass herpes on to a partner even when there is no apparent outbreak; this is known as asymptomatic viral shedding.
Recent (days to weeks) and past exposure (months to years).
How it Works
1. Make the Call
to discuss testing arrangements and find the nearest location. We can make sure you are not testing too early or taking tests that you may not need.
2. Get Tested
Get tested. Have specimen collected confidentially as soon as the same day you call.
3. Get Results
Talk to a real person and get test results as early as the next morning. We can answer your questions and provide an official lab report.
